Hace tiempo atrás tuve la bendición de conocer a una persona que nos dio su amistad sincera. Su nombre es Dorman Dimmitt. Cuando el nos conoció y se dio cuenta de nuestro Sueño el dispuso en su corazón ayudarnos. Lamentablemente la muerte le sobrevino y no pudo concretarse lo que era su gran deseo.

Cuando el vivía, cierta ocasión fue cuestionado acerca de nosotros y a continuación presento lo que el comento. “Lo que a continuación, les voy a presentar, es una historia real y verdadera. Hace no mucho tiempo tuve la oportunidad de reunirme y conocer al pastor Juan D. Herrera. Cuando me entere del trabajo que el esta haciendo; para crecer una Iglesia, propuse en mi corazón ayudarle en todo lo que fuera posible.

Lo curioso o interesante en esto, es que Centro Cristiano Fuente de Vida y el Pastor Herrera tienen literalmente prácticamente nada de herramientas económicas (Fondos). El pastor Herrera sirve a su congregación en un edificio que fue un taller de carrocería y pintura, al cual han cubierto con papel blanco para cubrir las paredes, pero la madera oscura del cielo se mantiene al descubierto. El piso del santuario ha sido pintado azul para distinguirlo del piso gris y se vea algo presentable.

El Sueño y reto de esta congregación es tener su propio Templo. Tanto la congregación como el pastor no quieren tener un cuarto de puras bancas para su Iglesia. El plan para su Iglesia incluye lo siguiente: 1.-La construcción de su Santuario y facilidades (Santuario, Salones de Clases, Cocina y Comedor). 2.- Salones para clases a la comunidad (Ingles ESL y computación 3.- Un gimnasio y mini arcade para los niños y jóvenes (con el fin de sacarlos de las calles, gangas y drogas). y 4.-Traer el Banco de comida (Food Bank) para asistir a la comunidad más necesitada.

El pastor Herrera dice lo siguiente del Sueño: “Este proyecto es como David y Goliat. Nosotros somos David y Nuestro Sueño es Goliat. Sigue diciendo, Yo creo que una Iglesia, persona o negocio que da o bendice a otra Iglesia, persona o negocio, siempre será bendecida”

Yo se que en nuestro pais y alrededor del mundo, hay muchas personas, Iglesias y negocios que han sido muy bendecidos, y que tienen un buen corazón y además medios económicos para ayudar. Por lo tanto yo en lo personal, apelo a su buen corazón y generosidad invitándoles a convertirse en patrocinadores permanentes de todo este trabajo para que el Gran Sueño sea todo una realidad”. Some time ago, I had the blessing to know a person that gave us his sincere friendship. His name is Dorman Dimmitt. When he met us and found out of Dream, he put in his heart to help us. Lamentably, he passed away and his great wish of helping us could not be finalized.

“What I am going to present, is a real and true story. Some time ago, I had the opportunity to meet and know Pastor Juan D. Herrera. When I found out about the work he is doing to build a Church, I proposed in my heart to help him in everything that was possible.

What is curious or interesting in this, is that Centro Cristiano Fuente de Vida / Fountain of Life Christian Center and pastor Herrera literally has almost nothing of economical tools (Fund). The pastor Herrera serves his congregation in a former Body and Paint Shop. White paper helps cover the bare walls, but the dark wooden ceiling beams remain exposed. The floor in the Sanctuary has been painted blue to distinguish it from the gray concrete floors and look presentable.

The dream and challenge of this congregation is to have their own Building / Temple. The congregation and pastor don’t just want a room with pews for his Church. The plan for his Church’s campus include the following: 1.– The construction of their Sanctuary and facilities (Sanctuary, Classrooms and Fellowship Hall). 2.-Classroom for classes to the community (English ESL and Computer classes). 3.-A gym and mini arcade for the kids and youth (with the purpose of taking and keeping them of the streets, gangs and drugs etc), and 4.-Bring a food bank to assist to the more needy community.

Pastor Herrera says the following about the dream: This project is like David and Goliath. We are David and the Dream is Goliath. He continue, I believe that a Church, person or business that gives or blesses another Church, person or business, will always be blesses.

I know that in our country, there is many people/persons that have been very blessed, and that have a good heart and have economical means to help, for me personally I appeal to you good heart and generosity I make invitation to convert yourself in patronage permanent of all this work and the big dream came to be a reality”.
